EU: Notification on arrangements for requesting and receiving EMA certificates through urgent and standard procedure from November 2019 to January 2020

As a consequence of the Agency’s move to the permanent building, there will be changes to the timelines for requesting and production of Certificates of Pharmaceutical Products between November 2019 and January 2020.

All printing and dispatching of certificates will temporarily cease on 13th December 2019 and will resume again on 18th January 2020.

Requests for Standard Procedure will still be processed during the period, but no certificates will be printed or dispatched until after 18th January 2020.

As a result of the temporary suspension of printing and dispatch of certificates, timelines have been revised as follows:
Urgent procedure
• Requests can be submitted to EMA by close of business 9th December 2019 in order to be processed and dispatched by close of business 13th December 2019.
• The Urgent request procedure will be suspended from 10th December 2019 until 18th January 2020. No requests for urgent procedure received from 10th December 2019 will be processed during this period.
• The Urgent request procedure will resume on 18th January 2020.
Standard procedure
• Requests can be submitted to EMA by close of business 8th November 2019 in order to be processed and dispatched by close of business 13th December 2019.
• Standard requests can be submitted to EMA after 8th November 2019 for processing but dispatch may be after 18th January 2020.
