The JPMA invited the TRPMA to attend the 3rd Asia Partnership Conference of Pharmaceutical Associations (APAC) in Tokyo. Participants, including officials from the governments in Asia and representatives from pharmaceutical industry organizations (mainly associations of international pharmaceutical companies), discussed the harmonisation of new drug regulations in Asia, the HTA open innovation platform, etc. Dr Shue Youe-Kong, Vice Chairman of OBI Pharma, made a presentation of the new drug R&D capacity in Taiwan.

The JPMA also invited the TRPMA to take part in the New Drug Alliance Expert Working Group (NDAEWG) to jointly create a bilateral drug research data platform for the access of scholars in Taiwan and Japan.

Dr Shue Youe-Kong, Vice Chairman of OBI Pharma, was presenting the new drug R&D capacity in Taiwan.
