The NTUH Clinical Trial Center, which received a technology research grant from the MOHW, is taking on the tasks to help the development of the domestic biotech industry, to improve the capacity and quality of clinical trials conducted in Taiwan and to provide comprehensive clinical trial-related services.

With the support from former and current Superintendents and researchers, the NTUH Clinical Trial Center has formed teams specializing in various fields, including healthcare, nursing, data analysis and SMO services. Together, the teams provide comprehensive services to guide and supervise the planning and execution of clinical trials. The Center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and focuses on the efficiency and the management of clinical trial projects. The Center has also established an independent clinical trial review system to further improve the quality of clinical trials.

TRPMA was honoured to have Dr Chen Chien-Wei, Director of the NTUH Clinical Trial Center, to give a special talk on the present and future of clinical trials in the NTUH. This event also provided a platform for local research-based biopharmaceutical manufacturers to deliver the industry’s needs so as to improve the center’s services and competitiveness in the global clinical trial environment.
